This evening I will be attending a retirement party for a mentor of mine named Pam. Not only have I picked her brain, but as community coordinator at the County Extension Office, I have followed her into meetings, been trained extensively by her, and became her good friend. I wish her all the luck in her retirement.
The importance of mentors cannot be overstated. A good mentor (or two or three) is one of the things that will help you succeed most in this world. Mentors help correct faults, help you make plans, and most importantly, mentors wish to see you succeed. Finding a mentor in your career path or someone who has done what you want to do, is vital to help you make more of your dreams. (Oh, and when you do succeed, keep your mentors informed. They like that!)
Best of luck in your mentor search bloggers,
